Own your own domain and website free at chi.mp. Domain names ending in “.mp” are generated from the .mp top-level domain from the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (USA), just in case you were curious or dubious.
Even if you already have your .com domain, it’s worth improving your search engine rankings by securing the .mp version as well – especially if you don’t have to pay for it. At the very least, you don’t want somebody else snagging your name….
(And, while you’re at it, why not get your own name as a .mp domain? Even if you’re not branding yourself like I am, it’s a great way to keep in touch with friends and family.)
