Social media find niches among local businesses

Wondering how other small business owners across the state are using social media (and how they’re benefiting – or not) from it? Have a read of this article by Chris Bagley at “The Californian”.

My take is that social networking is emerging as a viable tool to generate clientele, and owners are realizing many of the issues associated with participation. Just because a service is free doesn’t mean it is – don’t forget the time you’ll need to put into your participation to keep your news fresh so people will seek you out and join your “tribe“.
