Social Media Marketing Metrics Defined

How do you determine what “bits” of data are useful to collect in order to determine the success of your social media campaign?

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) is comprised of more than 375 leading media and technology companies who are responsible for selling 86% of online advertising in the United States. They’ve just recently produced a document attempting to standardize Social Media metrics. It’s hoped that a more consistent definition of terms will result in a better way to measure growth and compare performance.

As you set up your social media campaigns, you may want to consider tracking one or more of the metrics identified in this report.
