Friday Fun: Top Viral Videos From Ad Age

Back on the charts again of “Ad Age’s Top Ten Viral Videos” is E-Trade’s “Singing Baby.” How and why would a video go off the charts and then back on? As Visual Measures, which compiles the data for the chart, explains:

It’s the result of a concept called “viral activation.” E-Trade and ABC ran a promotion for the show “Un-Broke,” which triggered related clips, several of which were the talking-baby spots. And, voila — there it is, back on the chart.
