Right in at number one on Ad Age’s Weekly Top Ten Viral Videos with over 3 million views is Carl Jr.’s “How to Eat a Burger (Portobello Mushroom Six Dollar Burger)”. The cool thing from an advertising perspective is that the video is fun AND you’ll remember what it’s about – the host keeps saying, “Carl’s Jr. Portobello Mushroom Burger” over and over again AND showing the packaging AND eating the burger. The bad thing is that it’s a bit unclear – here I am, getting all excited about a vegetarian option at a fast food restaurant where both my husband (who eats leaves) and I can eat together, and I find out from my husband (who already knew about this product) that it’s a meat burger with mushrooms on it. Misleading? Maybe. Anyhow, it’s cute:
