Twitter Surpasses Facebook as Top Link in E-mail

In case you were wondering where to focus your social media marketing efforts, take a look at this posting on ClickZ today elaborating on a recent report from social media platform Wetpaint and digital consulting firm Altimeter. This report supports the theory that there is a direct link between a brand’s social media efforts and revenue growth.

It appears the most successful companies are those who are engaged across many social media channels and are very active in the channels they participate in.

And, a link to a company’s Twitter account is now included in marketing emails more frequently than a link to their Facebook account (however, the numbers are almost parity, so a link to both is still a pretty good idea.
