Web Site Design Process

Here’s how we’ll work together to get your website up and running in a timely manner*:

Step 1: Complete the Website Design Planner

This document forms the foundation of your website. It contains the instructions for the website design, the names of all picture files to be used on your site, and all text to be included on your website. Download your Website Design Planner (Word document) here.

Responsibility: YOU
Time Required: Within 15 Business Days of Order (or as otherwise agreed)

Step 2: Email the completed Website Design Planner

Email the completed Website Design Planner and all associated files to us at customer-service AT c-cole-lewis.com. Make sure the information contained in your Website Design Planner is complete and is what you want, as you are only entitled to a limited number of Website Revision Requests (depending on your order) after this document is submitted. (See Step 4)

Time Required: 5 minutes

Step 3: Discussion and Website Design Mock-up

We’ll have a conference call and discuss your website design planner. We’ll want to make sure what you provided in the planner will create a website that “works” – that is, a site that will achieve the results you want from it (e.g., more mailing list sign-ups, more website purchases, more foot traffic to your bricks and mortar store.) A mock-up version of your site will then be created, based on this discussion and your completed Website Design Planner.

Responsibility: US
Time Required: 10 business days after receiving your completed Website Design Planner

Step 4:  Website design mock-up minor revision requests / Website mock-up revision

What changes do you want made to your website design mock-up? Make sure you catch all the changes you want made in your first request, as you’re only allowed a limited number of Website Revision Requests (depending on your order). We will work together to complete this step.

Responsibility: BOTH YOU and US
Time Required: Depends on how quickly the two of us work together. We will respond to your emails within 1 business day.

Step 5:  Sign Website Sign-off Form

Once you’re happy with your website, you’ll complete the Website Sign-off Form, scan and email it to us at customer-service AT c-cole-lewis.com. Download your Website Sign-off Form here.

Time Required: 5 minutes.

Step 6: Website Goes “Live”

Website goes “Live” and is ready for customers.

Responsibility: US
Time Required: 3 business days after receiving Website Sign-off Form.

Post Completion

Additional consultation, features, and maintenance are available.

*Please note: Your contract with us will be effective as of the date of the Order and shall remain in force until seven (7) days after the website goes live (the “Delivery Date”), which shall take place not later than one hundred twenty days (120) after your Order.  We cannot guarantee the Delivery Date, but will use commercially reasonable efforts to perform in an efficient and timely manner. You must complete steps 1 and 2 of this Website Design Process within 15 business days of Order, or a 10% continuation fee may be charged. If you do not complete your responsibilities as outlined in this Website Design Process within 120 days of placing your Order, your contract may be terminated.
